Boarding Your Pet at Waconia Vet Clinic
Here at Waconia Veterinary Clinic, we offer a traditional boarding experience. Ranging
in sizes from 30 to 12 square feet, our runs are indoors, climate controlled and have easy to clean epoxy or acrylic floor
surfaces. Dogs are walked individually at least twice daily by our kennel staff in an outdoor fenced area. Cats
are boarded in indoor stainless steel cages in a room specifically for cats.
Although a 24-hour attendant is not
on on-duty, boarders are periodically monitored throughout their stays, including non-clinic hours/ weekends. They are individually
kenneled; however pets from the same household may be allowed to stay together in the same run.
Dogs having not
previously boarded may benefit from a trial day-board prior to a scheduled reservation. In fact, we encourage this.
Cost is minimal and allows us to evaluate your pet’s experience and helps us maximize a future positive boarding experience.
Please bring your own food if your pet has a specific dietary need. You are welcome to bring your pet’s personal supplies,
but we ask you keep this to a minimum. For your convenience, we maintain a supply of toys and bedding material for your pet’s
use.

Optomizing the Boarding Experience
|
To provide a quality boarding experience for pets and their owners, we must limit our boarding services
to the following:
|
- Pets weighing less than 120 pounds.
- Females who are not in heat.
- Neutered male dogs and cats.
- Pets without unmanageable behavior issues
(including but not limited to previous bite
history, uncontrolled separation anxiety, or fence chewers.)
