The large animal division of the veterinary clinic provides bovine and equine routine and emergency ambulatory care

Our bovine services include dairy herd reproduction management with ultrasound evaluation, sick animal care, mastitis evaluation, calf management, and record analysis. We provide assistance with feedlot health issues and nutritional problem solving. Our clients are able to use our in-house catalog for ordering supplies. Our catalog inventory is priced to match or beat our competitor's prices to keep costs down for our dairy producers.

Our equine practice includes health maintenance management services, including vaccinations, parasite control and dental care. Additionally we provide reproductive care, lameness evaluation and routine sick animal care.

We have our own laboratory staffed by certified veterinary technicians. We are able to do blood profiles to analyze difficult health issues. We utilize outside laboratories, consultants and referrals when required.

We are active members of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Equine Practitioners National Mastitis Council, and Minnesota Agri-Growth Council.

We are also supporters of the Minnesota Holstein Association, Future Farmers of America, and our local 4-H organizations.

We are monitoring the new quality assurance programs (www.nationaldairyfarm.com) that will be mandatory in a few years. These new standards have been created to comply with new trade restrictions imposed by the European Union. We anticipate that these programs will require mandatory training for professionals and certification for all farms. Updates will be posted on our Web site.
